Spring Chicken with Rice

Fra Diablo

Tartufo
This is going to be quick and brutal. I love the Tartufo. It is like chocolate mousse but so much better and sweeter. The Fra Diablo and the Spring Chicken, meh. Will be going back there for more Tartufo but I doubt my stomach will have room for anything else (I can’t believe I just semi-dissed food, I’m sorry. I love you food, please don’t break up with me). Tartufo, I cannot get over you.

Sheepish

This my attempt to be a sheep. I don’t think I did it well but at least I look sheepish. Get it?Get it? lol Sometimes I really don’t know what I’m doing. Okay, on to the outfit!
I suppose this my “hello to 2012 and to everyone” look. I think one of the best things you can have in your closet is a sweater. I mean you can go out with it or stay in your house and snuggle with a book and read with it. The sweater is a potential best friend. I love wearing it so much that I put together a look to dress the sweater up a bit. I mixed it up with a skirt and a peterpan-collar blouse just so you can actually go out with it without looking too casual but at the same time without letting go of the comfort the sweater offers. I also added boots and socks because shoes are the clincher. They dot the sentence. It’s like if you wear the wrong shoes for an outfit you ruin the whole look. So I chose boots because it really makes it look dressy. Now you can go out and have a lovely day with the ever reliable sweater!

Visita Inglesia

So around last summer, my family with my tita and tito went on a trip to Sorsogon, Bicol. On the way back, we went on a Visita Inglesia. To be quite frank, this was my first Visita Inglesia. We visited seven churches. Though in this post I really didn’t include the photos of the other churches I only picked a couple and I don’t really remember the church’s name and where it was exactly but all of them were on the way back to Manila. I found a lot of interesting things to take photos of inside and out of the churches. I especially enjoyed looking at the architecture. I’m big fan of detail that’s why it such a wonder to look at the church’s architecture because it brings so much attention to detail. Though it wasn’t the details that I wanted to catch in my photographs, I really wanted to catch the feeling — the sun and humid air moving around the inside of the solemn church. I don’t really think you can capture that on cam but it was worth a try.

Retarded Drawings

A drawing of his dog, Volvo
These are the chocolate man’s drawings. Take a look at his drawing prowess! (hehe I’m just kidding) He drew these while we were talking. He used MS Paint and my laptop’s touch-pad then he saved it. He showed to me and he had a goofy, semi-creepy smile on. I said they look retarded hence the name “Retarded Drawings”. I guess you think he draws like this all the time but truthfully these drawings are a good change because usually he draws demons and warriors. You guys should see his notebook. He also draws cars. He likes cars. He draws cars really well. His cars are very detailed and precise. Once I drew a truck in my notebook and he took a pen and told me “this is how you draw a truck”. He drew a really cool truck.

Non Omnis Moriar (♥)
Sucject: Reese Ungson (Moi)
Hair & Make-up, Photogrpahy: Mo Maguyon
Art-directing and Photo-manipulation: Lex Balaguer
These artworks are by Lex Balaguer. He is an artist of sorts — his forte is photo-manipulation. In fact, he is currently the art director of Heights (Ateneo de Manila’s official literary and art publication). Also the first photo (Caput Mortuum) is part of Heights current issue (LXI Vol. I). (For those of you who read heights and want digital copy, it is available for download here.)
I got to know Lex through my roommate, Mo — who is also part of Heights. Interestingly enough, they needed a model/subject for their work and I happen to be there. Mo did most of the photography and Lex did the art directing (You should have been there, Lex is so cute when he directs, he is so passionate and energetic!). The shoot took place inside our room. I was just against a blank wall, almost gray, dreary. To think that Lex transformed those photos into something so out-of-this-world. He took me to places. Incredible. I hope I did a good job. I had a stye/kuliti during the shoot so I really happy that my face was covered. I had make-up in though, just under the eyes since my stye was at the lid of my left eye. Mo did the all the styling and make-up. Can you believe the gown I’m wearing is actually a skirt with a belt? Well that’s Mo for you. She’s did a wonderful job. It was fun to work with both of them. THey are incredibly telented people. Credits to all the both of them. I only did a tiny bit of the work but I’m glad I was part of it.
