Fish and Co. Plus Parvati

This post is long overdue. This is my post-birthday date with the chocolate man. It’s so overdue that I can’t even remember the names of our orders. I just know it’s fish. This is why if I were a real food blogger I’d be really bad at it. Well, I blog about food anyway because I love it and I love taking photos of it. Anyway, even though I cant remember our exact orders I do know who ordered what and this is mine.

All I can say is i really love the rice and fish combo thought I do remember the fish being a bit bland. The rice is a bit fruity because of the raisins, I suppose. The lemon gave the fish a bit of that kick that I wanted.

This is choco man’s order. Fish and chips! I remember the fish being more flavorful and crispy. It’s really good. I wish I ordered what he ordered. Boo.

These are the sauces you have to mix together with the fish. There’s tartar sauce, minced garlic and crushed jalapeño.

Fish and Co. is located at 4 Floor, Trinoma Mall, EDSA cor. North Ave. Quezon City, Metro Manila.

Next up is our dessert at Parvati.

Banoffee cake for the ever sweet Chocolate man.

Macarons for the pokemon, Reesumimi.

I honestly love the chocolate macaron. It is the best out of all the flavors. It is so chocolatey, almost gooey and yummy.

Parvati has a selection of best-loved desserts from different stores all in one refrigerator and all you have to do is choose. It’s a one-stop shop for all the home-made desserts everyone’s been raving about. The place is quite small but the selection is rather plenty. You can relax and talk with your companion/s over your choice of dessert with free coffee. We always come back here and try different desserts out. At least, I crossed out macarons and Banoffee cake out of Parvati’s selection. I’m actually looking forward to coming back and trying other desserts.

Parvati is located at Mindanao Lobby, Trinoma Mall, EDSA cor. North Ave., Quezon City, Metro Manila

Yabu (House of Katsu)

I’m not really a big fan of Katsu and I usually don’t order Katsu when I’m in Japanese restaurant. But then recently I found a new love for Katsu especially for Tonkatsu because of Yabu. I went there with the chocolate man. He insisted that we go there because he wanted me to try it out. He said the Tonkatsu is good and is well worth it. It is. He has good taste.

For first-timers, you might be surprised that you get to mix and grind sesame for your Katsu sauce but it’s really fun and easy. So here:

How to make the Katsu sauce: Grind-Pour-Mix-Dip

Pour Katsu sauce, mix and dip your Katsu!

Here are our orders

Premium Tonkatsu

Hire Katsu

Whether or not you are Katsu lover, you will surely love this place. Aside from the really amazing Katsu, the miso soup and sides are really good. Also the unlimited cabbage with a choice of vinaigrette or japanese mayo, oh dear, need I say more? (I’m a real veggie lover). The service is good too, the waiters are really nice and they always ask you want more cabbage, so that’s a plus for me. I suppose you really have to spend a tad bit when you’re planning on eating here but it’s worth all the money you spent.

Yabu (House of Katsu) is located at SM Megamall Atrium (2nd Floor), Mandaluyong city.

Strawberry Jam

I made strawberry jam with my sister. It’s so tasty and sweet. I hope when it freezes it looks like real jam tee hee~

Frostings

Red Velvet cupcake and Dulce De Leche cupcake at Frostings in Trinoma. I’m not really a fan of cupcakes but these look so cute but then again it’s not as sweet as it looks so it’s good for those who love desserts but not really looking for anything too sweet. Plus you can also have a choice of eating it out of the transparent plastic cup with a spoon, which I think is rather convenient but a bit unorthodox, or you can simple take it out of the cup and eat it then old school way by biting all the way through!
